Ik verlang naar jou
Attraction, Hesitation & Regret
A fleeting attraction. A moment of hesitation. The thought of what might have been.
“Ik verlang naar jou” (I Long for You) is a Dutch-language melodic pop-rock song about an unexpected moment of attraction. Someone catches your attention and suddenly stirs something inside you. You feel the urge to reach out, but hesitate. Before you know it, the moment has passed, leaving you wondering what might have happened if you had acted on that feeling.
Driven by expressive piano melodies, warm electric guitars and a relaxed, organic band groove, the song combines intimate vocals with a melancholic, British-influenced pop-rock sound.
It’s not about missing someone you’ve loved, but about longing for something that never had the chance to begin.
